One of the acknowledged ‘Classic Bands’ on the AFM roster, Sinner is undoubtedly a band with a career which has spanned some twenty-five years and included many an album (both solo and with touring line up’s), that has seen the band successful around the globe, whilst maybe lacking that little slice of luck. But what has always remained constant is that this band has always delivered an unrepentant and unbridled level of power, consistency and quality and continues to do so even though the protagonists may have changed with time. Last album “Crash & Burn” (2008) saw new recruits in Christof Leim (The New Black) and the return of long-time guitarist (and producer) Henry Wolter but the retention of drummer Klaus Sperling from the time of previous album “Mask Of Sanity” has meant that bassist and vocalist Mat Sinner was always able to count on the strongest possible line up and shape an album with a consistency that has come through beautifully in the ensuing music. Sinner may already have achieved a lot in their long and illustrious career. 25 years in the music business has seen the band play successful headline tours around the globe and supports to rock giants such as Deep Purple and Mr. Big have all combined to establish the band as one of Germany’s most successful rock exports after the Scorpions and Accept, but as Mat sees no need to slow down in his creative desires (he’s just finished a second album with Alex Beyrodt which should see the light through AFM in September), we can expect much more fire and creative genius from the man…..
